The Scholarship Program is intended to provide financial assistance to deserving students. The process of receiving financial assistance from the Local Branch requires that students are nominated using appropriate forms, enclosing a short essay highlighting why they should receive the NAACP Service Scholarship, recommendations from their teachers and others, and a copy of their transcript that is sent to the Local Branch by the current deadline. All forms should be received by this date or postmarked by this date to have their applications considered for recommendation of receiving a scholarship.
